Austin is the capital city of Texas. It's a city that combines cosmopolitan with down-home, modern with historic.

The State Capitol building is one of the grandest and most beautiful in the U.S. The city is surrounded by water, with Town Lake, Zilker Park and Barton Springs offering beautiful respites right next to Downtown.

Austin is home to the University of Texas and the university's students add to Austin's eclectic vibe. The city is known by some as the "Live Music Capital of the World," with bands rocking Sixth Street and the Warehouse District.

Austin is one of the prettiest big cities in America, perched as the gateway to the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Austin offers something for everyone, from the history buff to the nature buff to the music buff to ... you name it!
