About the Gregg County Historical Museum:
The Gregg County Historical Museum is in downtown Longview inside the impressive Everett Building, originally constructed in 1914 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was originally a bank, but has been home to the Gregg County Historical Museum since 1984.

Among the museum's permanent exhibits are displays on timber, farming, oil and railroads - the commerce that has driven the growth of East Texas. Other permanent exhibits include the Arthur Northcutt Brown Military Collection; a Dalton Gang bank robbery display; and an exhibit focusing on architecture in Texas.

The Gregg County Historical Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. It is closed on major holidays. There is a small admission fee.
