About the Agricultural Heritage Center & Museum:
The Agricultural Heritage Center & Museum, known by locals more simply as the Ag Museum, tells the history of farming and ranching in the area through the display of antique agricultural machinery and implements.
Among the items on display are antique farm machinery, including an 1896 threshing machine and early tractors; horse-drawn implements; woodworking and metalworking tools; and turn-of-the-century household articles. Most of the items were donated to the museum by local families whose ancestors used the tools to work the family land.
The Agricultural Heritage Center & Museum also hosts events throughout the year, including the Tractor Show and the Chuck Wagon Cook-Off. A blacksmith plies his trade at the center every Saturday afternoon.
The Agricultural Heritage Center & Museum is open Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Call for information on scheduling group tours at other times. The museum is closed from Thanksgiving Day through the third weekend of January every year.
