About the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature:
Housed in a renovated 1920s building at the corner of North First and Cedar streets, the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature provides recognition of the artistic achievements of illustrators, and displays their works in several new exhibits each year. The NCCIL also sends its exhibits on tours of other museums around the country.

In addition to the premier children's book illustrations that are on display, the museum also offers free children's art activities daily, plus numerous events throughout the year for families. Its exhibits typically feature 50-60 pieces of original artwork.

The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. There is no admission fee.
